Backblaze backs up everything on your computer except your operating system, applications, and temporary files. Backblaze only works incrementally to backup online as efficiently as possible. Have the same photo stored twice? Backblaze will de-duplicate to back it up just once; if you restore, it will be put back in both places. Have some large files? Backblaze will compress them when possible. Change a file multiple times? Backblaze will only back up the changes.
Your Backblaze backups are available via any web browser, anywhere, with only your name and password. Pick what data you want to restore – a single file, a folder, a set of random files, or everything. Downloading any backups you need over the Internet is free. You can even order your files on a flash drive ($99) or USB hard drive ($189).
If your computer is ever lost or stolen you should immediately restore your data to another computer. Backblaze has the ability to locate your lost computer to help inform the authorities of where to recover it.

Back up, before you wish you had.
The engineers at Backblaze wanted to create a product that felt integrated well with the Mac and did not open the door to security threats. So they built Backblaze using Apple’s own Xcode and put the controls in the System Preferences using a native interface. It doesn’t matter if you are running Mac OS X El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion, Lion, Snow Leopard, or Leopard. Backblaze’s online backup service will work for both.
